•There is a major issue plaguing the otherkind community as a whole, one which does harm to both individuals in the otherkind communities and to the indigenous community, the issue being a group of alterhumans claiming to be a First Nations entity that will not be named. People who could care less about respecting indigenous peoples will argue that these people are not doing any harm by claiming to be the unspeakable spirit, though blatant disrespect towards marginalized groups and internalized racism will always be an issue that needs to be addressed. Though myself and other members of the otherkind community have continually and respectfully called out these racist fools plaguing our community, they continue to double down on their views. I believe it is time for a different approach. Kindness and passiveness on our end only seems to further fuel the defensiveness and disrespect expressed by alterhumans who claim to be the vile spirit. In these writings I will unapologetically explain why non-natives who claim to be the unspeakable spirit are blatantly wrong in their assumptions of themselves. I will not sugarcoat this issue by any means, since I could care less about the feelings and well-being of racists. I will also not refrain from using vulgarity when describing my thoughts, since as I stated before, I will not be sugarcoating the issue for the sake of easily offended racists. If you find yourself offended in any way by these writings, then I heavily encourage you to do some thinking about the severity of the plights indigenous peoples have faced throughout the years and think about how much you actually respect indigenous peoples. This aggression of mine is not directed towards genuine allies of indigenous people or other people of color.
•To start off, it is important to address why the spirit I am mentioning should not have its name spoken. One is not supposed to speak the name of this spirit since according to the stories in First Nation's mythology, speaking the name of the spirit casts the evil into existence. Regardless of whether you believe speaking evil into existence is within the realm of possibility or not, you should never disrespect indigenous peoples by blatantly ignoring us when we tell you not to say the name of that spirit. The disrespect is on a greater level when one actually claims to be the vile evil that is not supposed to be spoken about. When one decides to blatantly disregard indigenous peoples to appeal to their own ignorance, they need to be called out on their complete bullshit. As a non-native, you have zero idea of the cultural significance behind why the name of the creature should not be spoken, otherwise you would not be stupid enough to actually claim to be that vile thing. Those, like myself, who understand the cultural significance behind why it is wrong to say the name of the creature make the decision not to say its name since we know the consequences of saying the name. People expressing any kind of disrespect towards indigenous culture are also just complete dicks, regardless of what they personally believe. If hearing these words of mine has upset you in any way, then you need to sit the fuck down and think on why you are so upset about racists being called out on their harmful behavior. You also need to open a history book and realize why cultural theft and erasure is harmful as it is. We have lost so much of our culture and history to cultural theft and erasure, we do not need to lose any more of our culture or have more of our culture stolen. We also dp not need our stories and traditions twisted into something they are not by non-natives who are being completely disrespectful towards our wishes.
•Now, onto another important point, everyone who claims to be the unspeakable spirit depicts themselves as a furry, skull-faced monster with antlers which... is not even remotely close to anything mentioned in First Nations mythology. That depiction of the vile spirit is a fictional, bastardized concept made up by Hollywood producers with the name that should not be spoken slapped onto the design for appeal. The fictional design of the unspeakable spirit is more akin to something one would see in Celtic mythology, not Native American mythology. Since there is nothing accurate about this design that misinformed people claim is the unnamed spirit, anyone who claims to be an entity of said design has no reason to call themselves by the name of the evil spirit or claim that they are somehow a Native American spirit. Call yourself a wickerbeast instead and do not claim to be a figure of Native American culture, since if you do believe your identity revolves around a creature of that design, you sure as hell aren’t a Native American spirit you know absolutely nothing about, especially as a non-native. Alterhumans who are misinformed on this subject matter really should accept that they are wrong in knowing themselves when they claim to be this unspeakable entity from First Nations stories. Indigenous spirits, regardless of what they are, do not interact with non-natives and do not willingly perpetuate the theft and erasure of our cultures. If you claim to have had contact with an indigenous spirit as a non-native, you are completely lying to yourself. Indigenous spirit guides are wise, not foolish and willing to encourage the own erasure of their stories and existence from history. Even that spirit wouldn't willingly interact with some stuck-up idiot flaunting their stolen identity around on the internet like a trophy.
•I have reiterated this next point so many damn times, though I will state it once again for the state of getting my point across. Indigenous cultures are CLOSED to non-natives, meaning non-natives cannot properly, respectfully, or rightfully practice said cultures. Indigenous rituals and practices have been passed down by ancestors for generations, there are mounds of knowledge, stories, and history behind each and every indigenous practice and belief, they are meant to be practiced in reverence to one’s own heritage. Non-natives who seek to steal culture and wrongfully practice closed rituals for their own usage willingly ignore the history and stories behind each of these practices. That only ever leads to cultural extinction since the true meanings and history behind those rituals and traditions are twisted and slowly forgotten. There is also inherent disrespect and defiling involved when non-natives steal and twist culture they claim to see as sacred, alongside the showing of blatant disrespect to the people whose culture they are stealing. It really does not matter how deep your mental complexes go, as a non-native you have zero connection to anything that relates to indigenous culture, I do not care what excuses you use to justify your manipulative behavior and views. You especially don't have any connection to an evil, unspeakable spirit that is the embodiment of everything vile and evil. As a white person, you follow in the footsteps of your vile, murderous ancestors by forcefully taking what never belonged to you. That is never something to strive for or be proud of. Get over yourself and quit attaching yourself to things that you have no right trying to claim.
